St. John Evangelical-Lutheran Church was founded in 1884.  Over 140 years later, we continue in our God-given mission to deliver the Gospel of our Lord in preaching and the Sacraments to Ray Township, Macomb County, and the greater Metro Detroit area.  

We are a member of the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS).  Our pastors and congregations subscribe to the Confessions contained in the Book of Concord of 1580 as the correct interpretation of the Holy Scriptures, and faithful proclamation of the Christian faith.
